Who's ARK?

Today is Friday (Friday. We-we-we so excited ). As expected, Rebecca Black is still a trending topic & the lyrics to Friday are plaguing lips, tweets and statuses everywhere. Also, questions are being asked like  who that random black guy in the video is. Well, that would be  Patrice Wilson, the producer at ARK Music Factory. More questions, who/what is ARK Music Factory?

ARK Music Factory is an “indie record label” based in Hollywood which seeks to find young singers (between the ages of 13 – 17) for promotion. The days of vocal training, hard work and being reduced to tears on American Idol to gain recognition for your art are over. For the price of $2000, ARK offers a package which includes writing a song and “producing an accompanying video in a bid to make a slash on YouTube.”

Almost every kid has wanted to be famous at one point in time, every parent wants their kid to be happy and successful; well ARK is here to exploit that. Rebecca Black is certainly not alone in trying to cheat her way into fame. ARK Music Factory had a launch gala back in February for all their budding “artists.” All I have to say is that someone needs to break it to these kids and their over-ambitious parents that Justin Bieber’s type of YouTube stardom does not happen every day, daddy’s credit card cannot buy you real success.

These kids will have a much better chance at life if they just stay in school instead of setting themselves up to be laughed at.

Finally my question has been answered! lol.
ARK music Factory needs to be stopped. Honestly they're killing the art form of music by putting out this garbage. I never thought anything/anyone could be worse than Soljah Boy...apparently I was wrong.
